Vimeo, YouTube, and other video-sharing sites make it easy for users to share their videos with a worldwide audience. However, creating a quality video that others will enjoy and share can prove challenging. To ensure the production of a good quality video, there are several things to consider when recording at home. First of all, keep in mind that people typically watch videos online in small windows on their computer screen, and due to the size of the display window, excessive detail might be lost. Therefore, it’s best to keep the video uncluttered by filming in simple settings without a lot of excess detail in the background. A close-up shot of the subject typically works better than a wider view. Additionally, make sure that the area where you are filming has good lighting. If a video is too dark, it is unlikely to resonate with the viewer and provide an enjoyable viewing experience.
